Social Innovation Venturing

Improving teaching for students and making it fit for the future is an ongoing process. In WS23-24 to SS24, the EnTechnon team had the opportunity to test how social innovations can best be anchored in entrepreneurship teaching via a BMBF-funded project.

The SIV - Social Innovation Venturing project successfully demonstrated that not only technical but also social challenges can be addressed by integrating social and ecological aspects. As part of last year's Student Innovation Lab, there was an increased focus on enabling students to develop sustainable and socially responsible innovations. The prototypical implementation of the SIV concept at SIL through access to a strong network of social actors and targeted workshops demonstrated that social innovation and technological progress are not mutually exclusive.

For all those interested, the insights of all funded projects as well as practical methods and tools are available here.

Many thanks to the BMBF for the funding!
