SIL LaunchLab - Entrepreneurship compact with SIL teams
Quote from a student: "It was a great teamwork experience and while sometimes quite challenging, it closely resembled a real-life working environment, which was the best part for me. I learned a lot about both myself and entrepreneurship."
The SIL - LaunchLab is a project-based seminar in which students work on real entrepreneurial - and sometimes technical - challenges from teams from the Student Innovation Lab (SIL). Each LaunchLab team receives a specific task from a SIL team, which is assigned at the kick-off of the seminar.
The seminar combines the skills from Entrepreneurship Basics with the challenge approach from Student2Startup. The aim of the seminar is to promote, accelerate or make more successful the implementation, further development and potential spin-off of the SIL projects through innovative contributions from the students. The students work independently in teams, but are in close contact with the respective SIL teams and lecturers. The teams take part in the final SIL event and are allowed to present the final poster to interested visitors.
The seminar thus offers a work-related learning experience that corresponds in many aspects to a real entrepreneurial environment and in particular promotes teamwork, problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial action in a practical context.
