Course content:

In the SIL-LaunchLab you will work in interdisciplinary teams on real innovation projects of the Student Innovation Lab (SIL) at KIT. As part of the seminar, you will take on the role of a project supervisor and support an existing SIL team in the further development of its start-up idea - this can range from market analyses and business model issues to pitch preparation and will be determined individually at the start of the seminar. This will give you direct insights into technological start-up projects at KIT and apply entrepreneurial methods to real start-up cases.

Learning objectives:

After completing the course, participants will be able to

  • Analyze and accompany real start-up projects in a structured manner
  • Carry out market and user analyses
  • Evaluate and further develop a business model using the Business Model Canvas tool
  • Support teams in preparing for investor and customer pitches
  • Develop a basic understanding of technology-driven spin-offs

Information about the seminar:

Participation is only possible in the summer semester. The seminar is aimed at Bachelor students from the 4th semester of all disciplines. Places are limited. Registration takes place via the WiWi-Portal and after appropriate admission via the CAS for the corresponding examination.
