Digital Business Models: A Systematic Analysis

The digitization in the healthcare sector is on a high course. It is changing work processes, the everyday lives of nurses, doctors, patients, and many others. It is changing business models. In addition to the well-known Business Model Canvas, literature increasingly features frameworks specifically designed for digital business models, such as the Digital Canvas by Schlimbach and Ashgari (2020).

The aim of the work is to conduct a systematic literature review and provide an overview of digital business model frameworks. Via descriptive analysis the results should be examined.

Besides that, the second part of the work involves the evaluation and analysis of a survey. The goal of the survey was to assess a created digital business model.

Possible Research Questions (can be adapted to personal interest):

  • Which digital business model frameworks exist in the literature?

  • What are common components of digital business models?

  • What implications can be drawn from the survey?

Further, we are open to your suggestions to contribute to this topic.
