Conny Steenblock

As a PhD researcher and instructor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Conny Steenblock is passionate about the intersection of technology entrepreneurship, education, and women’s leadership. Her current research focuses on the dynamics, changes, and initiatives within entrepreneurial ecosystems that aim to leverage the potential of women in (tech) leadership positions.

Conny has been awarded a PhD Scholarship by the Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft (sdw) as well as the Wolfgang Grenke Entrepreneurship Scholarship. She publishes in and reviews for renowned international, peer-reviewed journals and conferences in entrepreneurship and information systems research. Her paper “Entrepreneurship education for everyone? Nudging entrepreneurial career aspirations among students of all genders” received the Best Paper Award for Innovation in Addressing Social Challenges at the 2024 Australian Center for Entrepreneurship Research Exchange (ACERE) Conference in Sydney.

Conny completed her management studies in Berlin, St. Gallen, and Singapore. Prior to her academic career, she worked in leadership development at the Deutsche Bahn AG Leadership Academy. She is always fascinated by innovative approaches to management education and is active in equine-assisted coaching for executive and team development.
