The Digital Health Transformation is in full swing - worldwide. For entrepreneurs who would like to found a company in the field of digital health, it is oftentimes unclear which business models are possible and in a next step which business model suits them best. For example, digital health entrepreneurs could decide to become a lifestyle app provider with few regulatory requirements. On the other hand they could select a stricter business model such as a "DiGA" which requires the compliance with several regulatory points. Are further business models possible?

To better support entrepreneurs with their decision to choose the most suitable business model, the identified possible business models are in a next step analyzed  - including their characteristics, advantages and challenges. Based on this analysis, a decision making model can be developed - how could an ideal model look like which might help entrepreneurs to identify their business model?

This model could in a next step be tested with entrepreneurs / startups in the field of digital health.

    Research Question:

Which business models are possible in the field of digital health?

How to help digital health startups choose their right business model?

Methodology: Mixed-method approach, i.e., systematic / structured literature review and qualitative analysis (e.g. interviews with startups to better understand their situation and to get feedback) or quantitative analysis (e.g. questionnaire to be shared with startups to better understand their situation and to get feedback)
