Ralph Henn is a research associate and doctoral student at the Institute for Entrepreneurship, Technology Management and Innovation (EnTechnon) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. He graduated in industrial engineering at KIT with a focus on entrepreneurship, innovation management, marketing and renewable energies.
Among other things, he is responsible for the coordination of research activities in the field of Entrepreneurial Ecosystems. His research focuses on understanding regional entrepreneurial activities and the different needs of individual local actors. To this end, he is conducting a longitudinal study of start-ups from Karlsruhe and the region. In this context, he led the first round of the Harmonized Instrument Initiative (HII) in 2015 as well as the second round in 2017. Furthermore, he is responsible for leading the seminars "Business Planning for Founders" and "Entrepreneurship Basics".
Ralph Henn advises founders and start-ups at the Center for Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship (CIE) and organizes local events such as the monthly founder barbecue. He is also a member and former marketing director of Pioniergarage e.V., the largest student entrepreneurship group in Germany. Internships in innovative units at Daimler, Fraunhofer ISI and EnBW complete his broad spectrum of practical knowledge.
