Ralph Henn is Research Associate and PhD Candidate at Institute for Entrepreneurship, Technology-Management and Innovation (EnTechnon) at the Karlsruher Institute of Technology. He graduated with diploma degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at KIT with a strong focus on Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Marketing and Renewable Energies.
Among other things, he is responsible for the coordination of research activities in the field of Entrepreneurial Ecosystems. His research focuses on understanding regional entrepreneurial activities as well as the variety needs of all individual local actors. Therefore, he is creating a longitudinal study of start-ups from Karlsruhe and the region around. In this context, he managed the first round of the Harmonized Instrument Initiative (HII) in 2015 as well as the second round in 2017. Furthermore, he is responsible for leading the seminars “Business Planning for Founders” and “Entrepreneurship Basics”.
Ralph Henn consulted founders and start-ups at the Center for Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship (CIE) and organized local events like the monthly founders´ barbecue. Furthermore, he is member and former marketing executive of the Pioniergarage e.V., which is the largest student entrepreneurship group in Germany. Internships within innovative units at Daimler, Fraunhofer ISI and EnBW are completing his wide spectrum of practical expertise.
His language qualifications are German, English and Spanish.
